So for 1, you jot down the 1st letter of the alphabet, A, and for 2 you would jot down the second letter of the alphabet, being B. It is a very simple cipher to use and can make for lots of fun! All you have to do is swap out each number for its corresponding letter in the alphabet.
Ok first, we are gonna turn these numbers into LETTERS and we are gonna do that with an A1Z26 Cipher.
We will use a combination of three codes, all of which were directly shown to us in the episode! If you recall back to the blacklit journal page, we were shown three ciphers: a Caesar Cipher, an Atbash Cipher, and an A1Z26. That’s right ladies and gentlemen, you read correct. We will have to use a combination of THREE codes. Now here we need a SPECIAL something to translate this baby.

So what about our code at the way at the end, on the journal page? Ok, so we know how when Dipper and Mabel use the blacklight on the journal, we see prompts for a Caesar, an Atbash, and an A1Z26 cipher.The Caesar Cipher given starts with X for A, Y for B, Z for C, and so on, the letters being shifted three places to the right. This can only mean our government friends have a secret identity!!!! Turns out this is an easter egg of sorts… a little joke Hirsch tucked away for us with our neighborhood friend the Caesar Cipher.

We see the FBI car with Mabel and Dipper inside crash, with nothing too suspicious, just a regular car with a regular looking license plate, right? Right?ĭid anybody else notice those license plates on those FBI cars? THREE license plates from THREE different cars, all with the same string of characters. I guarantee this character is real.Well, at the moment we are all hunkering down getting ready for the long hiatus until gravity falls comes back… why we wait lets discuss an easter egg Alex Hirsch slipped into the most recent mind blowing episode!! We tried many times to include a “face-stealer” on Gravity Falls, but could never quite crack a storyline that justified that horrifying visual. Were any of these four stories from the cutting room floor of the show and if so, what was it like giving the story new life? Still not sure how I tricked him into being involved. Getting to work with Eisner Award-winner Asaf Hanuka in particular was a dream come true. I can’t believe how lucky I was to work with seasoned pros and hungry newcomers who all brought something amazing to the table.
